Meet our Equity Team!
Equity means that as an association we want everyone to be equal and to feel safe. To achieve that goal, ASDV Bonaparte has had an official Equity-Officer since 2023! The Equity-Officer ensures that our Code of Conduct is followed during our debate nights and events. Our Equity-Officer also serves as a confidential contact person. If you don't feel safe, are in a slump or have questions around equity, the Equity-Officer is your first point of contact.
Kai Stouthart
After his board year, Kai was far from finished with his commitment to Bonaparte, so he decided to take a shot as Equity Officer. With his knowledge of procedures and a systems as a law student, he stands behind the equity team's policies. He likes to apply his mediation skills to de-escalate conflicts in order to keep a nice atmosphere within Bona. Also, Kai is one of the few within a debating society who is a listener rather than a speaker, and so he is happy to hear you out if you are struggling with something.
Pahal Agrawal
Pahal has been at Bonaparte for 2 years now, and has always loved the international and inclusive atmosphere at all Bona events and debate nights. She chose to take this a step further by joining the equity team and contributing to maintaining the safe and fun atmosphere at Bonaparte that she has come to love. She would love to hear from you if you face any issues or are overwhelmed by anything, or even if you just want to talk to someone! She looks forward to making Bonaparte an even more amazing place to be in the upcoming year.
Elton Högklint
Elton has been an active member with Bonaparte for 3 years, engaging himself with all parts of the association from debate tournaments, organising social events, and advocating for the improvement of the association in the General Member Assemblies. In June he became one of Bona’s three equity officers, and wants to leverage his experience with the association to make it a friendly and welcoming space for all. Please talk to Elton about anything on your mind and he will do his all to accommodate you, but also if you just want to talk to someone about your special interest, in which case Elton is always willing to listen.
